Welcome to the information booth

Less guessing.
More getting started.

Pick your attraction, check your list and choose how you want to play. Here is the practical guide to every tool, with the important details up front.

Your first visit / start here

Three steps to a little magic.

Explore the full guide →
  1. Fill the ticket box

Type one entry per line, or switch on comma splitting for a pasted list. Repeats stay in the draw; total and unique counts help you check your list.

  2. Choose your kind of fun

Use Fair Draw for a cryptographic selection with an audit record. Choose a playground when you want your swipe or toss to influence the outcome.

  3. Reveal it. Then check it.

Celebrate the result, download its proof, or invite an audience to watch any fair generator live. A saved proof lets others check whether the recorded payload has changed.

A guide for every game.

Decision wheel

Enter one choice per line, or enable comma splitting. Check the total and unique counts, then select Spin fairly. Format as lines keeps every occurrence. For swipe-driven spins, switch to Gesture Playground.

Open decision wheel →

Weighted picker

Enter one name per line. Add a weight with a vertical bar, such as Avery | 3. Import a CSV file or a public Google Sheet, choose its entry and optional weight columns, then review the probability preview before picking.

Open weighted picker →

Coin & dice

Choose a material, then flip or roll in Fair Draw. Drag or use arrow keys to inspect the object; Reset view restores the presentation. For a physical toss, choose Physics Playground, adjust power, tilt and direction, or drag and release.

Open coin & dice →

Lucky numbers

Set an inclusive minimum and maximum, then choose a quantity from 1 to 100. Add excluded integers if needed. Enable Generate without replacement to prevent repeated values within that batch.

Open lucky numbers →

Team picker

Enter one unique name per line, optionally followed by | skill. Choose a number of teams or people per team, and decide whether leftovers spread out or form a smaller team. Star captains, add keep-together or keep-apart rules, rename teams, then make teams. Copy the result or download it as CSV.

Open team picker →

Live audience

Every generator—wheel, picker, coin, dice, numbers and teams—can Host room (coin and dice in Fair Draw). Share only the audience link, room code or QR code—guests can scan it with a phone camera, and Show full screen enlarges it for a projector. Guests join read-only; you control the settings and every draw. Leave room returns to local controls. Live hosting requires the room service to be connected.

Open live audience →

Proof checker

After a fair result, select Verify latest in the audit panel, or download the JSON proof for your records. Large proofs may not fit a shareable link. Keep the complete payload, and remember that sharing it also shares its entries.

A little help along the way

When a ride needs a reset.

The draw button is disabled

The wheel and picker need at least two entries, which can be identical. Shorten lists above 5,000 entries, correct invalid picker weights and wait for an active draw to finish. In a live audience, only the host can edit or draw.

The object is blank or will not toss

Try a current browser with WebGL enabled. Fair Draw still provides a result without WebGL. If a physical toss lands on an edge or does not settle, it reports an unclear landing instead of inventing a result. Use Reset arena and try again.

A sheet will not import

The picker reads public docs.google.com spreadsheet exports, not private sheets or Google accounts. Check sharing permissions, the selected columns and positive numeric weights. If the export is unavailable, download a CSV and import that file instead.

A room or saved list is missing

Check the connection and room code. Browser privacy settings or cleared storage can remove local lists and host recovery. This is not cross-device cloud saving. A room link shares the live session, not a permanent backup of your list.

What is Randomize Fun?

An anime-inspired collection of random decision tools: a wheel, weighted name picker, random team picker, a 3D six-sided die, coin flipper, number generator and proof checker. You can start using the tools without creating an account.

Is Fair Draw really random?

Fair Draw uses the browser's crypto.getRandomValues() source with rejection sampling, rather than choosing a result from animation timing. The result is selected before the animation presents it. Each occurrence on the wheel has the same chance; picker rows can have different disclosed weights.

Do repeated names stay in my list?

Yes. Every occurrence stays in order as a separate entry. Alice, Alice, Bob gives Alice two of the three wheel slots. The total includes repeats; the unique counter ignores letter case. Both wheel and picker allow up to 5,000 entries, including repeats.

Why can the same winner appear twice?

Fair draws do not automatically remove winners. With an unchanged list, each new draw is independent, so repeats are normal. If your rules require no repeat winners, edit the wheel or picker list before the next draw. The number generator has a separate without-replacement option for a single batch.

Can dragging change the result?

In Fair Draw, dragging only changes your view of the 3D object, not the odds or saved result. In Physics Playground and Gesture Playground, your movement can change the landing. Playground outcomes are not cryptographically fair and do not create proofs or broadcast live results.

How do I share a draw with an audience?

On any generator in Fair Draw—wheel, picker, coin, dice, numbers or teams—choose Host room and share the audience link, QR code or room code. Only the host edits and draws; audience members receive the settings and every result. Network timing is best-effort. For a completed fair draw, use Verify latest or Download proof in the audit panel. The picker also offers PDF and PNG certificates when its verification link is short enough.

What does a matching proof actually prove?

The proof checker recomputes SHA-256 over the saved entries, weights, result, random bytes and other audit fields. A match detects changes to that saved payload. It does not establish that a host committed the inputs before drawing, prevent someone from discarding draws, or guarantee compliance with giveaway rules.

Where do my entries go?

Generator sessions and recent fair-draw history are stored in this browser's local storage. Live rooms send shared entries and audited results to the room service. Proof links and downloaded certificates can contain your full entry list, so share them carefully. Read the About page's data overview before using personal or confidential information.

Can I use it without 3D motion?

Yes. Fair coin and dice draws show a static result when reduced motion is enabled, and the fair wheel settles without its normal spin. Fair results remain available when WebGL is unavailable. The optional physics playground needs WebGL and motion to simulate a toss.

Why do I see ad placement previews?

A labeled preview shows where an advertisement could appear; it is not a live ad and makes no advertising request. When live advertising is enabled, the site offers advertising preferences. Post-result placements stay separate from controls and do not automatically refresh after every draw. Occasionally, after a completed draw, Google may show a full-screen ad break; it never appears during a draw or in your first two uses, and visitors who decline advertising never see it.
